GuestcustomizationofaWindowsguestoperatingsystemcanoccurif:

 Theguestoperatingsystemisnotaprimaryorbackupdomaincontroller.

 ThecloneortemplatehasoneofthefollowingWindowsversionsinstalled:

 Windows2000Server,AdvancedServer,orProfessional(including64‐bit

versions)

 WindowsXPProfessional(including64‐bitversions)

 WindowsServer2003,Web,Standard,orEnterpriseEditions(including64‐bit

versions)

 WindowsVista(including64‐bitversions)

 ThemostrecentversionofVMwareToolsisinstalledintheguestoperating

system.

OTEItisnotarequirementthatactiveandsystempartitionsbethesame

partition.

NOTEWindowsXPHomeorWindowsNT4operatingsystemguest

customizationisnotsupported.WindowsVistacustomizationissupportedonly

onhostsrunningESXServer3.5andgreaterorESXServer3iversion3.5and

greater.
